It has been a few days since Studio 397 announced the official Ferrari 488 GTE and we announced that we would drop our Ferrari in favor of the Studio 397 version. Over the last few days, the modding team has been discussing what to do with our version of the Ferrari and we have made our decision.
For those who can’t or don’t want to spend money on Studio 397’s Ferrari or prefer our version, we will release it as a standalone mod on our website once we’ve switched to Studio 397’s version in the FIA WEC 2019/2020 mod.
However, the car will not be updated or developed any further. We have to be careful with the allocation of our time and efforts and our priority is to bring new content to the game. Stopping development of the Ferrari allows us to speed up the creation of new LMP car models.
The amount of included skins will be brought down to the FIA WEC 2019/2020 teams and we will include 3 basic aero packages for high, medium and low downforce tracks.
You can use this car with the FIA WEC 2019/2020 mod. Just ignore the error message that says it’s missing the official Ferrari and install our Ferrari package instead. You can then add the cars to your races by selecting “GTE Ferrari” in the opponent selection menu.
You will be able to download the Ferrari 488 GTE Evo from our website after we’ve released our update that replaces this version with Studio 397’s version.
All of our future mods, like the Le Mans 2019 mod we are currently working on, will be using Studio 397’s Ferrari 488 GTE.
